On 25 September 2009 there was a gathering if Masons at the home of Frank Woodliff, Jr. to honor a man who has been a stalwart member of this community all his life.  Frank was born in Fallon on July 13, 1910 and educated in the Fallon public school system and graduated from Fallon High School in 1928.  He then went to work with his father in the Woodliff Company.  He has been an active business man and pillar of the community since that time.  He was married to Elizabeth Underhill on August 24, 1932 and they have two children, a daughter, Deanna Gail and a son, Frank, III.
Masons present were M.W. David O. Martinez, Grand Master, V. W. Arthur K. Cronin, Grand Secretary, PGM, M. W. H. Wayne Kingsley, PGM, Andy Smith, Worshipful Master, K. Lee Smith, PM, Marshal O. Coverston, Jr., PM, Richard W. Stark, PM, Stephen V. Robison, PM and Grand Standard Bearer, and John C. Singleton, PM and Grand Steward.  They were gathered there to honor Worshipful Brother Frank Woodliff, Jr. and present him with his Grand Lodge seventy (70) year pin.  This is a milestone seldom reached in the Fraternity. He has been a member of Churchill Lodge for seventy years.  The certificate was presented to WB Frank by the Most Worshipful Grand Master and the pin was presented by the Worshipful Master.  The presentation was attended by his family and his Wife was requested to put the pin on him.
His Masonic career began on September 15, 1939 when he was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason and he has held many local and state offices in the Fraternity.  He was constituted a Noble of KERAK Temple of the A.A.O.N.O.M.S. in 1943, Master of his Lodge in 1944, Worthy Grand Patron of the Eastern Star in 1949, Grand High Priest of Royal Arch Masons in 1058-59, Most Illustrious Grand Master of Cryptic Masons in 1967-68, Grand Commander of the Commandery in 1959-60, and served as Grand Recorder of the Grand Commandery from 1961 through 1968.  He is the dean of the heads of the York Rite Bodies in the State.
He became a Scottish Rite Mason in 1957, awarded the Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 1981 and coroneted as Thirty-third Degree Honorary in 1989.
Brother Frank is also a Past Governor of the Nevada York Rite College #144 and Past Sovereign of Joan of Arc Conclave of Red Cross of Constantine and Prior of Nevada Knights York Cross of Honor in 1963.
